Your baby begins communicating from the very first moments of life—through sounds, movements, and expressions. Understanding these early cues helps you respond with confidence and nurtures a strong bond. The June 2026 Communicating with your baby class, offered by Transitions Into Parenting, is an interactive session designed to give parents practical strategies for connecting with their little one from day one.
This class blends research-based techniques with hands-on tools, including baby sign language, Dunstan Baby Language, reading, and singing. By learning to interpret your baby’s signals and introduce simple communication methods, you’ll foster early language development while easing frustration for both you and your child.
June 2026 Communicating with your baby class
- Dunstan Baby Language: Recognize your newborn’s distinct cries and respond effectively to their needs.
- Baby sign language: Introduce simple signs to help your baby express themselves and reduce communication frustration.
- Parent-baby communication at every stage: Connect during pregnancy and adjust strategies as your baby grows throughout the first year.
- Reading and singing: Use books, songs, and eye contact to promote language development and deepen emotional connection.
- Choosing books: Learn tips for selecting age-appropriate books that encourage engagement, bonding, and early literacy.
- Continued learning resources: Access online tools and materials to support ongoing communication growth beyond class.
