Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or adding another little one to your family, this class covers everyday newborn care, what’s typical in the early weeks, and when to reach out to your healthcare provider.
What You’ll Learn in June 2027 Baby Care Basics
- The early days with your newborn: Review what to expect after birth, including newborn screenings, measurements, jaundice, and the first bath.
- Newborn features: Explore common newborn characteristics such as birthmarks, eye color, body hair, and other changes you may notice.
- Everyday newborn care: Learn basic care, skin care, temperature checks, and when to call your healthcare provider.
- Swaddling and baby wearing: Practice safe swaddling and explore baby wearing as a way to comfort and stay close to your newborn.
- Normal newborn behavior: Get familiar with typical feeding, sleep, and soothing techniques during the first weeks.
