OUR STORY
In 1992, two maternal-child nurses noticed a gap in education and support for new parents returning to work after welcoming a baby. Drawing on their hospital experience as lactation consultants, Julie and Virginia brought their expertise directly to workplaces, creating a new approach to corporate lactation and parenting support.
Over the years, Transitions into Parenting has thrived by forming lasting corporate partnerships with Fortune 100-500 companies in Chicago and beyond. Much of our success is rooted in these collaborative endeavors, where we shared expertise in lactation room design, management, compliance, and programming to help employers better support their working parents.
Today, Transitions Into Parenting continues to support families and workplaces with practical corporate lactation solutions, breastfeeding support, and parenting programs designed to meet real-world needs. Our educational webinars cover essential topics such as breastfeeding and nursing, infant sleep and care, returning to work, infant safety, and parental wellness. Programs are inclusive, tailored to the diverse needs of mothers, fathers, partners, and grandparents, and are available to families both through corporate partnerships and as private pay programs with personalized guidance.
Our enduring mission is to cultivate a warm and supportive environment for all families navigating the transition into parenting.
