OUR STORY
In 1992, two maternal child nurses saw a gap in education and support for new parents reentering the workforce after bringing home a new baby. Using their skills as lactation consultants, Julie and Virginia took years of expertise from the hospital and delivered them in a novel way, at corporate offices.
Transitions into Parenting was born out of a necessity for corporations to support the working family and their newborn babies.
Over the years, Transitions into Parenting has thrived by forming lasting corporate partnerships with Fortune 100-500 companies in Chicago and beyond. Much of our success is rooted in these collaborative endeavors, where we shared expertise in lactation room design, management, compliance, and programming to help employers better support their working parents.
Transitions into Parenting continues it’s journey, expanding to deliver the most comprehensive corporate lactation and parenting program for modern teams. This initiative includes prenatal yoga, infant massage instruction, breastfeeding education and support, maternal health education, and more. We are proud to deliver these inclusive educational and support programs, tailored to meet the diverse needs of working mothers, fathers, partners, and even grandparents. Our enduring mission is to cultivate a warm and supportive environment for all employees transitioning into parenting.
