  • The first days with your baby: Review what to expect at the hospital or birthing center, including screenings, jaundice, and the first bath.
  • Newborn features: Become familiar with common characteristics like birthmarks, eye color, body hair, and other changes.
  • Everyday newborn care: Learn how to check your baby’s temperature, care for sensitive skin, trim nails, and know when to call your provider.
  • Swaddling and baby wearing: Explore safe swaddling techniques and baby wearing for comfort and closeness.
  • Normal newborn behavior: Understand typical feeding, sleep, and soothing techniques during the early weeks.
