As you settle into breastfeeding, new questions and concerns can come up. Essentials in Nursing Your Newborn Part 3 is the third session in our four-part Transitions Into Parenting breastfeeding series and focuses on common concerns that may arise during the early weeks.

This class provides practical information to help you understand what is typical, care for your breasts and nipples, and recognize when additional support may be helpful.

  • Nipple and breast care: Discuss ways to manage soreness and discomfort.
  • Engorgement: Learn what causes it and ways to ease discomfort.
  • Milk supply: Understand signs of possible supply concerns.
  • Sleepy babies: Explore ways to encourage effective feeding.
  • Weight and intake: Review signs that your baby is getting enough milk.
