Enroll in July 2026 Gentle weaning, part of our Transitions Into Parenting program, designed to support families as they move through the weaning process with compassion and confidence. This class explores how weaning impacts both parent and baby and provides practical tools to make the transition smoother for everyone.

July 2026 Gentle weaning class overview

In this July 2026 Gentle weaning session, we’ll walk through strategies for easing the shift away from breastfeeding and/or pumping. You’ll discover how to guide your child through this natural milestone while maintaining a nurturing connection.

Topics include

  • Feeding options: Transition to frozen breast milk, formula, other milk products, or water in a way that works best for your family.
  • When weaning happens: Explore how weaning can unfold naturally as part of your child’s growth, or how parents can gently initiate the process.
  • Creating a plan: Build a supportive and reassuring environment for your baby during transitions.
  • Practical strategies: Learn approaches to ease both the physical adjustments and emotional aspects of weaning.

Our goal is to help you see gentle weaning as a positive and manageable experience. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with actionable strategies and the confidence to guide your baby through this next stage—while continuing to strengthen your bond.
